Fortrans series 5000 pH control systems are used to control pH of process water at Pre-Cast concrete manufacturing plants. Many Pre-Cast operations recycle process water back in to into the mix to lower consumption of potable water and ensure process water is not discharged.
The pH of the make- up water for the concrete mix used to manufacture Pre-Cast concrete must be controlled to a pH of 9.0 or less to ensure that harmful gels do not form in the concrete products after manufacture.
Fortrans carbon dioxide based pH control and monitoring systems offer safe, precise and dependable pH control of the process water at a lower cost than sulfuric acid or any other material used to lower pH.
Our series 5000 systems may be equipped with data logger that will record system ph levels on an SD memory card. The memory card will store up to three years of data. The data logger comes complete with Windows compatible software for permanent storage in Excel and MS Word formats for quality control.
We recommend our Model 5000S for exterior applications and our Model 5000SK or 5000SP for interior use. The systems can be used with existing basins, pits, tanks or sumps.
